Manchester United change plans for match against Brentford

Manchester United started their Premier League campaign tonight with a late goal against Brentford.

Manchester United took the unusual step of abandoning the team on the day of their away match due to a late kick-off against Brentford. United are scheduled to kick off their first game since the March international in west London at 8pm on Easter Saturday.

United typically advise sick players to stay away from the first team to reduce the risk of contracting the virus. "Yesterday he missed training due to illness. I don't know (whether he is suitable for Brentford)," United manager Erik ten Hag said. "We hope. Today he is here (to train), he has not fully recovered yet, but there is still a lot of time tomorrow from 8pm to 8pm. ”

Casemiro missed the FA Cup quarter-final against Liverpool due to a hamstring injury, but returned to outdoor training this week. Ten Hag has hinted he will return to the team against Brentford.

United need to make a belated assessment of the fitness of Jonny Evans, who has struggled in recent weeks. Evans, 36, was injured during the Manchester derby defeat to City on March 3. He was scheduled to start against Liverpool two weeks later, but was withdrawn the day before the game.

Harry Maguire is likely to miss the game at the Community Stadium after sustaining an injury while playing for England. United were due to fly to Newcastle for a Saturday tea kick-off in December, but their flight was canceled and they had to travel north-east by bus.
